About me

Supporting Mental Health, Growth and Wellness with Expertise and Empathy

Hi, I’m Stella, a dedicated mental health practitioner with over 18 years of experience. I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys, having worked in diverse settings across Australia, the South Pacific, and Europe. Through these experiences, I’ve honed my skills in psychotherapy, coaching, supervision, and program management. At KOMT, my mission is to provide personalized and impactful mental health services that address the unique challenges of each individual and organization I work with. Whether through counselling, group therapy, or corporate services, my goal is to empower you to achieve greater well-being and mental health stability.

With an educational background spanning psychology, mental health project management, and business analysis, I’ve developed a broad set of skills that allow me to offer a multifaceted approach to mental health care. I’ve also had the privilege of volunteering my expertise—translating research for the Cochrane Collaboration and coordinating networks for mental health professionals. Across all of my roles, my focus remains on creating meaningful change and fostering resilience in the lives of those I serve.

My Strengths:

  • Comprehensive Experience: Over 18 years of experience in various health organizations, specializing in mental health and community services for both adults and children.
  • Global Expertise: Worked across Australia, Nauru, Manus Island, Hungary, Ukraine, and Papua New Guinea, providing clinical services and program leadership.
  • Tailored Approaches: Specialized in individual and group therapy, with an emphasis on play therapy, art therapy, and coaching, including work with children and young adults.
  • Leadership & Supervision: Provided professional supervision, coaching, and mentoring to professionals and teams.
  • Change & Program Management: Extensive background in designing, evaluating, implementing, and managing mental health and humanitarian programs.
  • Cultural Competence: Strong understanding of mental health service delivery within culturally diverse and sensitive environments.
